After careful consideration and discussions with our Board, we have decided to rename our team from the Capitals to the Haringey Hounds Girls. This change is driven by several key factors that we believe will streamline our operations and enhance our club’s efficiency and identity. Here are the primary reasons for this decision:
1. Easier Administration:
• By aligning the team’s name more closely with our location, we can simplify administrative tasks such as registrations, communications, and logistics. This alignment will also help in fostering a stronger community connection and local identity.
2. Cost-Effective Maintenance:
• Operating under a unified brand will reduce the expenses associated with team merchandise and equipment.
3. Merchandising Efficiency:
• A consolidated and recognisable brand will streamline our merchandising efforts. Fans and players will have access to a cohesive range of products, fostering a stronger sense of belonging and pride in our club. This unified branding will make it easier to market our team and attract sponsorships and partnerships.
In addition to this, we are excited to announce the formation of a new adult women’s team, the Haringey Greyhounds. This new team will provide a clear and structured pathway for our players as they progress from youth to adult levels, ensuring continuous development and opportunities within our club.
We are confident that this change to the Haringey Hounds Girls, along with the establishment of the Haringey Greyhounds, will bring about positive outcomes for our club and community. The name change will take effect from the upcoming season, marking the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us all. While the name change signifies a new chapter, our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and the development of our players remains steadfast.
